Job summary

Halfords National Tyres and Autocare is recruiting Mobile Tyre Technicians to deliver top-quality tyre services in customers' homes or workplaces across the region. You will receive bookings electronically, collect stock, load the van and plan efficient routes to perform booked work to high safety standards.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, a customer-focused mindset and IT proficiency, with a 44-hour week from Monday to Saturday.

Qualifications

• Experience removing, repairing and fitting tyres, gained in a garage or on the road.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent face-to-face customer service.
• Ability to use IT systems and devices.
• Capable of planning workload and acting on initiative.
• Holding a full driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points.
• Understanding of Health & Safety regulations and practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer experience while performing booked tyre services in customers' homes or workplaces.
• Receive bookings via an electronic device, collect stock from base, load the van and plan routes.
• Drive to customer locations and carry out scheduled tyre work to high safety standards.
• Safely manage and drive the National Mobile van and associated equipment.

Job description

Our Mobile Tyre Technicians use their expertise to deliver a fantastic customer experience in the field. Receiving bookings through an electronic device you'll order and collect stock from your base location, load the van and plan your route. Driving to customers' homes or workplaces you'll carry out booked jobs, working to the highest technical and safety standards.

You'll be responsible for the safe keeping - and driving - of the National Mobile van and all equipment, and will have

• Experience of removing, repairing and fitting tyres, gained either in a garage or on the road
• Experience of providing great face to face customer service
• IT efficient
• The ability to manage and plan your work load, act on your own initiative and identify the best way forward
• A full driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months with no more than 6 points
• An understanding of Health & Safety regulations and practices.

This role is full time, 44 hours per week, working weekdays 08:30 - 17:30 with a 1 hour unpaid break and Saturday - 08:30 - 12:30. A van and tools are provided for use during shifts and during the one hour call-out period either side of each shift.
