Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Mobile Technician to bring expert car care directly to customers at their driveways. You will complete repairs and routine maintenance with the support of smart routing technology.

The role offers a base salary of £29,995 with realistic on-target earnings up to £32,695 per year. A monthly bonus average of £2,700 enhances earnings, and a 44-hour week applies across Monday to Sunday with every other weekend on duty.

Qualifications

• Ability to problem-solve and work on own initiative.
• Passion for cars and motoring.
• A valid driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of repairs and services on customer vehicles.
• Perform battery replacements, windscreen repairs, and oil & filter changes.
• Work as part of a mobile service team visiting customers at driveways.

• Shift pattern between Monday - Sunday including every other weekend 8:00am - 8:00pm

As a Mobile Technician, you’ll use your technical knowledge, problem-solving ability and customer service skills to keep our customers moving. After collecting your fully equipped van from the local Hub, you’ll be guided through your route by our smart technology, carrying out a wide range of repairs and services for our customers.

With full training provided for any gaps in your skill set, you can expect to carry out the following work, day-to-day:

• Battery replacement
• Windscreen repairs
• Oil & filter changes

Skills and experience

• Previous experience as a Tyre Fitter or in other vehicle repair work is highly desirable
• Ability to problem-solve and work on own initiative
• This role will suit those with a real passion for all things cars & motoring
• A current valid driving licence with no more than 6 points
