Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a hands-on Mobile Technician to support hygiene, uptime, and light mechanical fixes across our food production and distribution contracts. You will work across sites, perform cleaning to SOPs, and handle first-line fault finding while maintaining high safety and food-safety standards.

The role requires a Full UK driving licence, shift work, and occasional weekend work. Training will cover COSHH, GMP, LOTO, and CMMS usage, with shadowing and onboarding to ensure you

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs on equipment.
• Carrying out hygiene tasks and COSHH-compliant handling.
• Full UK driving licence necessary for site-to-site travel.
• Willingness to work shift-based hours including some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform targeted cleaning and hygiene tasks on equipment per SOPs and document results.
• Diagnose and complete minor mechanical fixes such as belt adjustments or jams.
• Support with simple PPM tasks including lubrication and inspections.
• Record all work in maintenance logs or CMMS systems and escalate when needed.
• Travel between sites across the UK with a valid driving licence and maintain safety standards.
• Work within GMP, allergen control, COSHH, and LOTO procedures.
