Job summary

Questech Automotive Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of one of Europe’s biggest automotive groups to appoint Mobile HGV Mechanics covering South London.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of industry experience, Level 3 City & Guilds/NVQ in Motor Vehicle Mechanics and own tools. The role is Monday to Friday, with a salary of up to £48,000 per year and a benefits package including healthcare, a 5% pension and manufacturer training.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained to Level 3 or equivalent with LGV/HGV experience.
• Minimum 2 years in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair to DVSA standards.
• Set up and operate machine tools and equipment on site.
• Knowledge of diagnostic equipment.
• Support workshop team including apprentices as required.
• Record time and details on job cards per DVSA guidelines.
• Perform other tasks as directed to maximise workshop efficiency.

Mobile HGV Mechanic

Questech Automotive Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of one of Europe's biggest Automotive groups who are looking to recruit for Mobile Service Engineers to cover South London.

We are looking for Technicians/mechanics from a Commercial, HGV, PSV or LGV background with at least 2 years experience in the Industry.

You will be Apprentice trained to Level 3 or equivalent that has experience working with a variety of LGV or HGV vehicles.

The role:

• Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation of parts with the ability to work to DVSA standard.
• Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment onsite
• Knowledge of Diagnostic equipment.
• Support workshops team members including Apprentice Technicians as required.
• Accurately record time to complete job cards and associated details in accordance with DVSA.
• Use of skills and performance of other work within normal grade/job skills as required by the Workshop Supervisor to maximise workshop efficiency

Skills & Experience:

• Level 3 Motor Vehicle Mechanics City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a qualified Fitter/Mechanic/Engineer
• Possession of own tools

Shift Patterns and Salary:

45 hours a week working Monday to Friday with an annual salary of up to £48,000.00pa
