Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions in Romulus, MI is hiring a Mobile Diesel Trailer Technician/Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy-duty fleet trailers. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and document work orders.

The role includes weekly pay, a $1,000 sign-on bonus paid quarterly after 90 days, referral bonuses, holidays and personal time after 60 days, a 401(k) plan, health and life insurance, uniforms, boot allowance, and ASE certification support.

• 2+ years' hands-on experience performing truck and trailer maintenance and repairs.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00/hour (based on experience) Pay Frequency: Weekly pay - every Friday Schedule: Monday - Friday 2pm - 10pm

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years' of hands-on experience performing truck and trailer maintenance and repairs
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position (detailed below)
• Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)

Working Conditions

This role involves working in a mobile and or shop environment that may include exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical irritants such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential functions that include lifting heavy objects, accessing tight spaces, and bending, stooping, crouching, or crawling as needed to complete repairs.
