About the Role

Mobile Tail Lift Engineer – Birmingham Area

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Mobile Tail Lift Engineer to join our team, providing maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a range of tail lift systems across the Birmingham region. This is a field-based role where you'll be working independently, supported by a friendly and professional technical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and repairs to tail lifts, shutters, and associated equipment.
• Diagnose faults and complete corrective repairs on-site.
• Provide emergency breakdown support and scheduled maintenance.
• Maintain accurate job and service records using a mobile device.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with tail lifts (e.g., Dhollandia, Ratcliff, Zepro, DEL).
• Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with customers.

Desirable

• LOLER certification or tail lift weight testing experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle shutter doors and ancillary equipment.
