Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a technician to join our rapidly developing construction division, focusing on planned servicing and preventative maintenance of mobile plant equipment across customer sites.

This role does not include breakdowns and repairs; the emphasis is on keeping machinery compliant, safe, and operating efficiently through scheduled maintenance activities and thorough service documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience with mobile/heavy plant servicing or maintenance.
• Strong mechanical understanding of diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to follow service schedules, checklists, and maintenance procedures.
• Comfortable working independently in a mobile role.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on mobile plant machinery.
• Complete routine inspections, checks, and fluid changes.
• Identify and report potential issues or wear for further action.
• Complete service documentation accurately and on time.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with safety standards and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of company vehicle, tools, and equipment.
• Provide a professional and customer-focused on-site presence.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, functionality and compliance.

About The Role

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing construction division? We are looking for a talented technician to join our team to ensure our plant equipment is maintained to the highest standard whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

This role is dedicated solely to the planned servicing and preventative maintenance of mobile plant equipment across customer sites.

This position does not include breakdowns or repair work. The focus is on keeping machinery compliant, safe, and operating efficiently through scheduled maintenance activities.
