Job summary

Terberg DTS is seeking a Mobile Service Engineer to travel to customer sites across the UK, diagnose faults, carry out repairs and deliver first-class technical support for Terberg and specialist vehicles.

You will service, inspect and maintain vehicles, use modern diagnostic tools, and report findings while upholding safety standards. A Level 3 qualification, fault-finding skills and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification required.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills, especially in auto-electrics.
• Experience on HGVs, plant machinery or similar equipment.
• Confident with modern diagnostic systems.
• Proactive, self-motivated with good problem-solving.
• Strong communication and customer focus.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair Terberg and specialist vehicles at customer sites.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults with diagnostic equipment.
• Carry out inspections and identify wear, damage and potential failures.
• Complete repairs safely, efficiently and to manufacturer standards.
• Produce accurate service reports and repair recommendations.
• Manage van stock and ensure parts are available.
• Build strong relationships with customers through excellent service.
• Work independently while maintaining top safety standards.
• Participate in ongoing training to grow skills.

Are you a skilled engineer who loves solving problems, working independently, and getting hands-on with specialist vehicles? At Terberg DTS, you'll work with some of the most advanced distribution tractors, Ro-Ro tractors, GSE equipment, and specialist vehicles in the industry, keeping our customers moving when it matters most.

As a Mobile Service Engineer, no two days are the same. You'll travel to customer sites, diagnose faults, carry out repairs, complete inspections, and deliver first-class technical support while representing a globally respected brand.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing Terberg and specialist vehicles at customer locations.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Carrying out inspections and identifying wear, damage, and potential failures.

What You’ll Bring
