Overview

Wernick Hire, the UK's largest and longest standing National provider of permanent and temporary modular buildings and site accommodation, is looking for a talented individual to join their team as a Mobile Service Engineer.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain cabin, modular and welfare fleet mechanically and electrically, fix plumbing in canteens and toilet blocks, replace door handles, and perform all aspects of joinery work including replacing wall and ceiling boards, fitting and easing of internal doors, partition walls and roof repairs.
  • Perform on‑site installation and dismantling works such as erecting or dismantling staircases and link units.
  • Fill out necessary paperwork and advise customers if call‑outs are chargeable; receive required training.
  • Act as a client‑facing representative, providing helpful and professional service.
  • Carry out multiple visits within a day, adopting a “fix‑it‑first‑time” approach.
  • Adapt and organise work effectively, displaying a keen attitude.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Full driving licence.
  • Experience in site accommodation hire, installation and maintenance; experience in a similar role.
  • Skills in plumbing, joinery and electrics (suited to a handyman/woman).
  • Excellent customer service attitude and presentability.
  • Self‑motivated with good DIY skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desired Criteria

Experience in cabin fitting would be a distinct advantage.
