Job summary

Lancashire County Council in Lancaster and Morecambe is seeking a Mobile School Crossing Patrol to provide cover for fixed crossing patrols during absence and to cover vacant posts.

The role is part‑time, 5 hours per week, term‑time only (38 weeks/year) with shifts typically 08:30–09:00 and 15:10–15:40. Applicants must have their own transport and business insurance and be able to travel to crossings at short notice. Uniform and training are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have access to own transport, business insurance and be able to travel to crossings on short notice.
• Shifts generally 0830–0900 and 1510–1540, Monday to Friday during term time (38 weeks/year).
• DBS check may be required per recruitment process; disclosures handled accordingly.
• Uniform and training are provided.

Responsibilities

• Cover fixed-point school crossings during absence and for vacant posts.
• Provide mobile relief across Lancaster and Morecambe crossings.
