West London Waste Authority is hiring a Mobile Plant Operator at the Waste Transfer Station, London. The role involves separating and processing recycling materials, loading vehicles, and supporting HRRC operations at the site using wheeled loading shovels and other plant equipment.

You will work to health and safety standards, on a 36-hour shift rota, with London Weighting and a commitment to sustainability. A valid driving licence and experience with mobile plant are required.

Formación

• Experience with mobile plant machinery and vehicles.
• Valid driving licence required.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team while upholding health and safety standards.

Responsabilidades

• Separate and process recyclable materials (metal, cardboard, wood, paper, green waste).
• Load vehicles to achieve permitted weights.
• Support HRRC operations by compacting and packing materials.
• Operate vehicles and plant machinery (e.g., wheeled loading shovel long reach, wheeled elevated cab 360, RORO lorry 6 Wheeled).
• Collaborate with traffic controller to maximize material value and revenue.
• Maintain site cleanliness and report incidents per safety policies.
