Job description

JOB OBJECTIVE

To support Ocean in its objective to become the first choice for blocks and aggregate supply in the South West. Whilst complying to H&S guidelines to help Ocean achieve our target of Zero Harm.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Safe operation of mobile plant machinery, Including pre-shift safety checks.
  • Daily operation of FEL, handling stocks, blending materials, loading both quarry and road going transport.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards.
  • Basic Maintenance, greasing and cleaning.
  • Work in a safe manner, promoting the company's ambition of Zero Harm.
  • A background knowledge of Ocean, including product and material knowledge.
  • Strong Health and Safety awareness and commitment to achieving Zero Harm.
  • Flexible approach to working hours which may on occasion include back shifts and weekend work.
  • Any other reasonable duties as required.
  • Responsibility for compliance and discharging legal duties with regards to HR and Health & Safety to promote a safe, equitable and legally compliant work place.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
  • Experience with Mobile Plant operations (EPIC / NPORS).
  • Good time management skills.
  • Must be happy with working outside and as part of a team.
