Plant Mechanic / Plant Fitter - Leeds

£35,000 - £45,000 (+ Van + Overtime + Stays Away) Permanent | Full‑time | On‑site (Leeds Yard + UK Travel)

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be responsible for the preparation, maintenance, fault finding and repair of specialist drilling and construction plant, including rotary and cable percussion drilling rigs (Fraste, Dando, Soilmec), top hammers, grout‑mixing plant, water and mud pumps, silos, tanks and ancillary geotechnical equipment. You’ll diagnose and repair faults on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems to keep the fleet in top condition. Most work will be based from the Leeds depot, but you’ll also travel to sites around the UK, including occasional overnight stays.

What you’ll need

• NVQ in Plant Maintenance (or equivalent hands‑on experience)
• Proven background maintaining mobile and static construction equipment
• Confident with diesel engines, hydraulics and fault finding
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical diagrams
• CSCS card, Manual Handling and Abrasive Wheels training desirable
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Own tools required
• Welding experience – nice to have, not essential
