Job description
Mobile Plant Fitter

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to support the servicing, maintenance and repair of a wide range of plant equipment. This role is ideal for someone who is confident working independently, provides a high standard of technical work and delivers excellent service to customers on site.

Location

This role covers national sites across all regions. The main support base for parts and operations is located at Wallows Lane, Walsall, WS1 4AG.

Overview of the Role

Based from home, you will travel to customer locations to carry out planned servicing, reactive repairs and diagnostics on plant equipment. You will complete all job records accurately, ensure equipment is maintained to required standards and communicate clearly with customers and internal teams. Strong organisation and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, maintain and repair mechanical and non mechanical plant equipment
  • Attend breakdowns and complete scheduled servicing on customer sites
  • Accurately log all work including hours, parts and certification
  • Request and manage parts through the internal system
  • Maintain stock levels of tools, consumables and spares within the service vehicle
  • Complete documentation for both scheduled and unscheduled work
  • Communicate progress and downtime with customers during site visits
  • Support stock accuracy by reporting issues and assisting with stock checks
  • Follow all quality processes, safety procedures and risk assessments
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
