Job summary

Neos Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to service and repair a fleet of construction machinery across Essex. The role is field-based, working on excavators, telehandlers, rollers and related plant, with a focus on downtime reduction and high safety standards.

You will work independently in the field, with a preference for experience on heavy plant and the ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experienced plant fitter with a strong background in construction machinery.
• Strong fault-finding in mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Experience on excavators, telehandlers, rollers or similar machinery.

Responsibilities

Mobile Plant Fitter – Essex

£19.00 – £24.00 per hour + Overtime

NEOS Engineering are recruiting for an established construction machinery business looking to add an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to their engineering team, covering Essex and the surrounding areas.

This is a hands‑on field‑based role working primarily on a modern fleet of excavators, telehandlers, rollers and associated construction plant.

The Role

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on construction plant.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Plant Fitter / Mobile Plant Engineer with a strong background working on construction machinery.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience working on heavy plant or construction equipment.

• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.

• Experience working on excavators, telehandlers, rollers or similar machinery.

• Ability to work independently in a field-based role.

• Relevant plant engineering qualification is desirable but not essential.

• Full UK driving licence.

Package

• £19.00 – £24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
