Job summary

GP World Limited is seeking a HCA Phlebotomist for Health Checks & Phlebotomy in Southampton on a locum basis. The role runs across six days a week with varied early and late shifts, from 07:50 to 18:10, and a contract window from 20 October 2026 to 31 January 2027.

You will perform phlebotomy duties, collect data, and support participant welfare. The ideal candidate has a phlebotomy certificate or competency sign-off and at least one year of venipuncture experience, ensuring accurate sample

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or verified competency required.
• Minimum 1 year’s active blood-drawing experience.
• Competent in taking height/weight/waist and vital signs.

Responsibilities

• Re-confirm participant identity and appointment details.
• Draw venous blood samples and label/store correctly.
• Record results for heart rate, blood pressure, height, weight, waist.
• Prepare sample boxes for courier collection.
• Monitor participant welfare and escalate as needed.
• Provide signposting and guidance to participants.
