Job summary

Venture Security is seeking exceptional Security Officers for mobile patrol roles. You will operate a modern, branded patrol vehicle and use advanced security technology to maintain safety across client sites.

The role requires a current SIA licence, a full UK manual driving licence, and at least 1 year in security. Excellent communication, time management, and the ability to self-manage workload are essential. Training is provided for mobile security work.

Responsibilities

• Providing a smart, visible security presence at our customers’ sites
• Conducting external and/or internal patrols
• Undertaking locks and unlocks of customer sites
• Responding to CCTV, fire and/or intruder alarms
• Liaising with police, ARC, control room, client representative and other agencies
• Writing complete and accurate incident and handover reports
• Using the latest tracking and security technology

All our patrol officers work in regional teams, with support from other officers as well as a duty supervisor and 24/7 control room.

Duties

Providing a smart, visible security presence at our customers’ sites

Conducting external and/or internal patrols

Undertaking locks and unlocks of customer sites

Responding to CCTV, fire and/or intruder alarms

Liaising with police, alarm receiving centres (ARC), control room, client representative and other agencies, as necessary

Writing complete and accurate incident and handover reports

Using the latest tracking and security technology

Candidate Requirements

Current and active SIA licence (either Security Guard, Door Supervisor or Close Protection)

Valid full UK manual driving licence

At least 1 year’s experience in the security sector

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Good timekeeper and able to plan own workload

Previous experience in mobile security work beneficial but not essential, as full initial and ongoing training provided

Full 10-year vetting to BS7858 standard

Selection Process

Candidates must be ideally located within 20 miles of Andover and be subject to BS7858 screening and enhanced DBS check.
