The Role
As a Mobile Building Services Engineer, you will:
- Lead on electrical maintenance, fault resolution, and compliance across client sites.
- Attend multiple sites as directed by the Service Desk to meet operational requirements.
- Support wider building services, including basic mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC tasks where required.
- Respond to emergencies, completing repairs safely and efficiently.
- Provide technical advice and professional client communication on site.
- Promote and adhere to Health & Safety and electrical regulations at all times.
- Commit to continuous development, staying up to date with the latest electrical technologies and standards.
- This is a mobile role requiring flexibility and occasional work outside standard hours to ensure service continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver planned, reactive, and statutory electrical maintenance on systems including lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, fire alarm interfaces, and control systems.
- Diagnose, isolate, and repair electrical faults.
- Support small installation works, upgrades, and system modifications.
- Accurately complete all electrical certification and compliance documentation.
- Provide multi‑skilled support where required (mechanical, plumbing, HVAC).
- Attend and resolve electrical emergencies promptly and professionally.
Essential Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary up to £48,000 per annum.
