Job summary

Randstad Construction & Property is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Technician in the North Tyneside region for a temporary ongoing contract. The role covers emergency repairs and planned maintenance in occupied and void homes, with an hourly rate of 17–22 GBP (umbrella or PAYE) and 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

A valid own vehicle is required. The ideal candidate will hold City and Guilds/NVQ Level 2 Building Maintenance Operative or equivalent, have strong health and safety knowledge, and

Qualifications

• City and Guilds/NVQ Level 2 Building Maintenance Operative or equivalent.
• Blue CSCS is desirable.
• Excellent working knowledge of health and safety.
• Own vehicle and UK drivers licence.
• Customer focused with experience in occupied and void properties.

Responsibilities

• Carry out emergency responsive repairs and scheduled planned maintenance in occupied and void homes.
• Fix plumbing issues, including leaks, blockages, tap replacements, and basic sanitary ware.
• Complete painting, decorating, and surface preparation on internal and external walls.
• Fit, grout, sealant, and replace wall and floor tiles.
• Perform general multi-trade tasks like minor carpentry, plaster repairs, and lock replacements.
• Provide polite, clean, and respectful service when working in residents' homes.
• Follow all Health & Safety guidelines and housing regulations.

Randstad C&P are working with a national FM client to onboard a temporary Mobile Maintenance Technician in the North Tyneside region. This is a temporary ongoing opportunity.

The Package:

• Pay rate between 17ph - 22ph (Umbrella or PAYE)
• Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
• Temporary ongoing contract (min 1 month)
• Own vehicle needed
