Job summary

A prominent healthcare organization in Wigan is seeking a Medical Engineering Technician to manage the maintenance and repair of medical equipment. Qualifications

• HNC in electrical/electronic engineering.
• Experience in electrical/electronic maintenance, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Acceptance testing of new equipment.
• Minor repairs and planned preventative maintenance.
• Cleaning/decontamination of equipment.
• Acceptance testing and troubleshooting of respiratory equipment.
• Training and progression within the Trust’s engineering services.
• Planning and executing equipment maintenance across clinical areas.
• Communicating with equipment users and external suppliers.
• Ensuring efficient use of financial resources.
