Mobile Mechanical Engineer - Up to £43,000 - Government Buildings - Hampshire

Are you a Mobile Mechanical Engineer looking for a new challenge? An exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based across Hampshire has arisen. The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.

The role involves carrying out M&E planned and reactive maintenance in a government contract setting.

Key duties & Responsibilities
  • Monitor mechanical plant: pumps, motors, seals, bearings.
  • Plumbing tasks: unblocking toilets, replacing taps and washers.
  • Monitor BMS system (hot & cold).
  • Carry out M&E/Fabric maintenance and update logbooks.
  • Work under planned preventive and reactive maintenance regimes.
  • Replace components such as taps, washers, hot water cylinders, pipework, boilers.
  • Check temperature and service mechanical & electrical equipment (M&E).
  • Manage priorities within contract constraints.
  • Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team to achieve set goals.
  • Participate in standby rota for emergency calls outside normal working hours.
  • Provide information for pricing of M&E works for minor projects.
Package Details & Hours of Work
  • Salary: up to £43,000.
  • Van & fuel card.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • Overtime available.
Requirements
  • Qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 (recognised trade qualification).
  • Qualified to work with central heating, water heaters, pipework, unvented hot water, and HVAC systems.
  • Electrical knowledge.
  • Full clean driving licence.
