Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across commercial sites.
  • Work on plumbing systems, fan coil units (FCUs), pumps, valves, and pipework.
  • Maintain and service plant rooms and HVAC equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair faults quickly and effectively.
  • Support with installation and upgrade works when required.
  • Ensure maintenance completion to high standards and safety regulations.
  • Liaise with clients and ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Mobile Mechanical Engineer

Location: London & South East England

Salary: £45,000 + Van & Fuel Card + Overtime

Hours: Monday to Friday

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mobile Mechanical Engineer to join a leading facilities management and building services company. Covering London and the South East, the successful candidate will carry out a variety of mechanical maintenance and repair tasks across a portfolio of commercial buildings.

This is a mobile role with a company van and fuel card provided, offering great earning potential through regular overtime and weekend work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across commercial sites
  • Work on plumbing systems, fan coil units (FCUs), pumps, valves, and pipework
  • Maintain and service plant rooms, hot and cold-water systems, and HVAC equipment
  • Diagnose and repair faults quickly and effectively
  • Support with installation and upgrade works when required
  • Ensure all maintenance is completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety regulations
  • Liaise with clients and colleagues professionally to ensure excellent service delivery
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Recognised mechanical or plumbing qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds)
  • Proven commercial maintenance experience - essential
  • Good working knowledge of building services systems and plant rooms
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with hot and cold water systems, FCUs, and general plumbing
  • Full UK driving licence - essential
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
