A leading UK motoring service provider is hiring a skilled mobile mechanic to deliver expert vehicle maintenance directly to customers across East Midlands. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of hands-on experience and a level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification. This full-time role offers a competitive salary structure, supportive working environment, and real work-life balance with benefits like overtime options and a pension scheme.
You’re someone who gets people. This isn’t just spanners and engines – our mechanics are out there on driveways, chatting with customers, giving advice, and representing the RAC with pride. You are not just in the RAC – you are the RAC. Every fix, every chat, every driveway visit shows what we are all about. You like mixing things up. Every day is a little different – servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and checks – and you’ll also manage your stock, do your reporting, and keep those customer conversations flowing.
You think on your feet. You’ll be trusted to think on your feet and make the right call for each customer. Different fixes, different faces, new challenges every day.
Opportunities available in the East Midlands: Northampton. As an RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you’ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are – from driveways to office car parks.

We are a place where ambition, support and authenticity come together, and where individuality fuels innovation. We welcome every background, champion every voice, and back your growth every step of the way.
