Job summary

RAC, a UK motoring services provider, is looking for a Mobile Mechanic to join the Service, Maintenance and Repair division. You’ll service and diagnose vehicles on customer premises, delivering high-quality repairs with a RAC van and full tooling provided.

You’ll work a 40-hour week with some weekend availability, earning a competitive base salary (£40,170) with on-target earnings up to £52,000 and overtime options to boost earnings, plus benefits and support for career progression.

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) and 2+ years of experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

• 40 hours per week, with core hours from8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

As an RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you’ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you’ll deliver first-class service without the constraints of a traditional garage. We’ll equip you for success from day one - with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit all provided.

Where you’ll work

You’ll be part of the Warrington cluster, covering areas like Warrington, Widnes, Runcorn, Newton-le-Willows, Leigh, Golborne, Ashton-in-Makerfield. You’ll be out on the road in your local area, working through a clearly planned schedule of appointments - no reactive callouts, just organised, pre-booked work where you can focus on doing the job properly.

What you’ll need
