A leading construction firm in Wales is seeking an experienced Mobile Maintenance Fitter (Mechanical) to join their team. This role involves maintaining Readymix Concrete Plants, responding to breakdowns, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. We are currently looking for an experienced Mobile Maintenance Fitter (Mechanical) to join our friendly team based out of Tarmac Briton Ferry Concrete Plant in Neath covering our South Wales Readymix plants. This role works 48 hours per week (Monday to Friday 9 hours per day and Saturday 3 hours). The position is commutable from Swansea, Morriston, Birchgrove, Briton Ferry, Port Talbot and the surrounding areas.

Reporting to the Readymix Production Manager, the Mobile Maintenance Fitter (Mechanical) will have responsibility for inspecting, maintaining and servicing our Readymix Concrete Plants. As a member of the Maintenance team, you will provide PPM and breakdown response to the Readymix business, delivering the Maintenance Strategy for your area of cover and best practice by driving a culture of continuous improvement. You will also respond to emergency and plant breakdowns in a timely and efficient way on all production equipment including conveyors, pneumatics, fabrication / welding plant, ensuring assets are returned to production and temporary fixes followed up with a permanent solution.
The ideal candidate for the role of Mobile Maintenance Fitter (Mechanical) will be self‑motivated, enthusiastic and able to work with minimal supervision. You should also demonstrate proven experience working within an industrial, factory or similar environment as a Mobile Fitter.
