Job summary

A leading global provider of real estate management services is seeking a Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer in Long Eaton. This exciting role involves performing electrical and mechanical maintenance on critical equipment and providing technical support in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have relevant electrical and mechanical qualifications and a strong background in manufacturing maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Available for overtime, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to write risk assessments, method statements, and permits.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant equipment and building services.
  • Provide technical support on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes.
  • Conduct fault finding and preventative maintenance on various types of machinery.

Skills

Electrical qualifications (City & Guilds 236 Pt 1-2-3, 18th Edition or equivalent)
Mechanical qualifications (City & Guilds or equivalent)
Experience with 3-phase motors
Hydraulic systems expertise
Pneumatic systems expertise
PLC diagnostics and repair skills
Strong background in manufacturing maintenance
Contractor supervision experience

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Electrical and Mechanical disciplines
Recognised or time-served apprenticeship
Job description
Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant equipment and building services.
  • Identify and manage risks, update technical drawings, and improve machinery performance.
  • Conduct fault finding and preventative maintenance on various types of machinery.
  • Provide technical support on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes.
  • Work with three-phase systems (up to 440V), motors, gearboxes, valves, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Use mobile devices and CAFM systems to manage and complete maintenance tasks.
  • Liaise with site services to resolve-related issues.
  • Deputise for the Shift Leader during absences and support departmental health and safety initiatives.
Qualifications

  • Strong background in manufacturing maintenance.

  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems expertise.

  • Working at Height qualification.
