Job summary

Cambridge Maintenance Services Limited is seeking a skilled Mobile Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to provide planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of commercial sites in the Bristol area.

You will fault-find, diagnose and repair a wide range of HVAC and refrigeration systems, while working independently with support from the engineering and operations teams. A company van, phone, tablet and tools are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Experience with AHUs, FCUs, VRV/VRF systems, DX units and refrigeration equipment.
• Relevant technical qualification in Air Conditioning or Refrigeration.
• Good electrical fault-finding knowledge, including controls.
• Hands-on, practical approach with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage workload and work independently in a mobile role.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Basic IT skills and ability to complete accurate job reports.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across commercial sites.
• Diagnose and resolve faults on air conditioning, refrigeration and HVAC systems, including AHUs, FCUs, VRV/VRF systems and DX units.
• Fault finding on electrical systems, controls, refrigeration compressors and associated equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns, identify root causes and deliver long-term solutions.
• Complete inspections, maintenance reports and job updates through our facilities management system.
• Build positive relationships with clients and deliver high standard customer service.
• Work closely with Lead Engineer and Support Desk to coordinate maintenance activities.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
