Job summary

Kautec Recruitment is looking for a Mobile HGV Technician based in Crawley. You will be responsible for servicing and maintaining municipal vehicles, including refuse trucks and sweepers. This role offers a competitive salary up to £54k plus overtime and benefits.

The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, experience in vehicle repairs, and knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems. You will enjoy working independently and solving problems on the road while ensuring all work meets DVSA and manufacturer standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HGV Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician, Mobile HGV Engineer, Plant Fitter, or Field Service Engineer.
• Strong diagnostics and fault‑finding ability.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrics, and municipal equipment.

Responsibilities

• Mobile servicing, repairs and diagnostics on municipal HGVs.
• Attending breakdowns, roadside faults, and on‑site repairs.
• Carrying out routine maintenance, inspections, and MOT prep.

Skills
