Job summary

Kautec Recruitment are seeking a fully qualified HGV fitter/technician for a Mobile Service Engineer role in Stoke and surrounding areas. You will travel in a fully equipped van to client workshops, performing preventative maintenance, servicing and emergency breakdowns throughout the region.

The ideal candidate holds City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent, with desirable IRTEC or EV qualifications and potentially a HGV licence. Monday–Friday, 48 hours per week, permanent position.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified (City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent).
• IRTEC or EV qualification desirable.
• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance for mobile units.
• Emergency breakdown support across designated area.
• Pre-arranged servicing at rural sites.
• Engine work and diagnostic investigations.
• Hydraulics and pneumatics checks and repairs.
• Electrical wiring inspections and corrections.
