A leading automotive service company in Chesterfield is looking for a Mobile HGV Technician to perform on-site servicing and repairs. You'll be responsible for diagnosing and fixing vehicle issues using specialist equipment, managing multiple customer locations efficiently, and ensuring vehicles meet safety standards. The successful candidate will have excellent diagnostic skills and previous HGV experience. This full-time role offers competitive hourly pay and a bonus structure.

HGV Technician Mobile, Merseyside

Salary: £17.40 per hour plus 5% bonus paid bi annually

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 07.00- 16.30

About the role
  • Carry out on-site servicing and repairs using comprehensive system specialist knowledge and a high diagnostic authority. To attend customer locations daily and manage your efficiently between sites, reacting to urgent and reported defects promptly and efficiently.
  • Attending customer sites to service and repair vehicles on customer premises
  • Ensuring all defects reported by the customer are actioned
  • Conducting fleet checks on customers vehicles whilst managing your time effectively around customer deadlines and schedules
  • Carrying out independently extensive orders for repair and re-establishing the serviceability of the customer's vehicle
  • Ensuring vehicles are safe to use
  • Speaking with customers and examining vehicles to diagnose problems with specialist diagnostic equipment
  • If possible, fixing the fault on-site and if necessary, making suitable arrangements if it isn't possible to fix the problem on-site for the vehicle to be taken to and repaired in the workshop
  • Completing servicing in line with manufacturer's guidelines
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate records as required for each job carried out
