Job summary

A major recruitment agency is seeking a Mobile HGV Technician in Alloa, Scotland. Job description

Questech Automotive Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of one of Europe's biggest Automotive groups who are looking to recruit for Mobile HGV Technician.

We are looking for Technicians/mechanics from a Commercial, HGV or PSV background with at least 2 years experience in the Industry.

You will be Apprentice trained to Level 3 or equivalent that has experience working with a variety of HGV and PSV vehicles.

A van will be provided but will be collected from site each day / night.

The role
  • Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation of parts with the ability to work to DVSA standard.
  • Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment onsite.
  • Knowledge of Diagnostic equipment.
  • Support workshops team members including Apprentice Technicians as required.
  • Accurately record time to complete job cards and associated details in accordance with DVSA.
  • Use of skills and performance of other work within normal grade/job skills as required by the Workshop Supervisor to maximise workshop efficiency.
Skills & Experience
  • Level 3 Motor Vehicle Mechanics City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a qualified Fitter/Mechanic/Engineer.
  • Possession of own tools.
Shift patterns and salary

Night shift / Back shift on rotation: 12:00-00:00 week 1, 18:00-06:00 week 2. Sunday to Wednesday.

Salary: 50,000 - 56,000 per year.
