Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Heavy Plant Fitter (Field-Based) to service and repair heavy plant equipment across the Southeast UK, with occasional nationwide travel. You will work from 07:00 to 17:00, Mon to Fri, in a largely field-based role, visiting sites and client locations with your own van and fuel card provided.

The role offers a stable, long-term position with opportunities for overtime and door-to-door pay, plus 25 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Experience in servicing and repairing heavy plant machinery.
• Field-based maintenance with driving responsibilities.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Complete service, maintenance and repair on heavy plant equipment.
• Predominantly field-based work with site visits.
• Fault-finding on hydraulics, electrics, pneumatics and electronic systems.
• Occasional overnight travel to client sites.
• Work in a 07:00–17:00, Monday to Friday schedule.
