Job summary

WasteRecruit Ltd. seeks a Mobile Technical Services Chemist to lead hazardous waste collections across the UK, ensuring regulatory compliance and safe handling.

The ideal candidate will coordinate client-site pickups, document processing, and safety conformities while maintaining strong customer relationships. Qualifications include a Chemistry degree, knowledge of hazardous waste regulations, and a proactive, flexible attitude with the ability to travel nationwide.

Qualifications

• Degree (or HNC) in Chemistry or related field.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste regulations and handling.
• ADR licence for hazardous goods transport preferred; training available.
• Forklift and First Aid training preferred; training available.

Responsibilities

• Organise and execute hazardous waste collections from customer sites.
• Pack, label, and segregate hazardous waste per UK regulations.
• Complete required documentation in line with current legislation.
• Maintain safe, orderly working environment.
• Conduct risk assessments at client sites.
• Load hazardous waste onto vehicles and transport to disposal facilities.
• Follow Health & Safety policies and EU Drivers Hours Regulations.
• Develop strong customer relationships and identify sales opportunities.
