Job summary

A leading materials handling solutions provider is seeking a Mobile Forklift Engineer in the Reading, Berkshire area. In this role, you will undertake repairs and maintenance of industrial trucks, ensuring high standards of service. Relevant technical qualifications and similar experience are required. The position offers a competitive salary up to £36,934 along with overtime and additional benefits such as a company van.

Qualifications

• Experience in repair & maintenance of industrial and agricultural trucks.
• Capability of fault diagnosis for breakdowns.
• Ability to provide professional service support to customers.

Responsibilities

• Repair & maintain industrial, agricultural, and warehousing trucks.
• Complete necessary documentation, including servicing sheets and breakdown reports.
• Work with sales team to identify potential leads.

Skills

Relevant technical qualification

Previous experience with cars, vans, HGV or Agricultural equipment

Understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principles

Ability to work independently and under pressure

Ability to manage and prioritise workload

Understanding customer needs

The Opportunity: Mobile Forklift Engineer

Company: Neckar Forklifts

Contract: Permanent

Salary: up to £36,934 + Overtime, door to door payments and van

Location: Reading, Berkshire area

Forkway are one of the UK's leading materials handling solutions providers with around 100 employees across three Handling Centres and a number of strategic service centres.

The Impact you will have:

• To undertake the repair & maintenance of industrial, agricultural and warehousing trucks and ancillary equipment, ensuring maximum profitability and return. To carry out fault diagnosis to identify reported breakdowns
• To ensure all damage and faults are highlighted to customers and recorded accurately on appropriate Forkway documentation
• To provide a professional, efficient & responsive service support to customers by means of maintaining & repairing materials handling equipment to the highest standard whilst observing Health and Safety regulations at all times
• To accurately complete all paperwork required within the role including servicing sheets, breakdown reports, accident reports, timesheets, quotes etc in a timely fashion
• To work closely with the sales team, informing them of any potential leads and to participate in site surveys and site meetings as and when required
