Job summary

A fast-growing automotive recruitment agency in the UK is searching for a Field Service Engineer - Mobile Fleet Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing maintenance and repair services on various vehicles across designated areas. Candidates should have a strong understanding of vehicle technology and experience working on agricultural or material handling equipment. Qualifications

  • Perform callouts and preventative maintenance.
  • Handle emergency breakdowns and pre-arranged servicing.
  • Conduct MOT preparation and engine work.

Field Service Engineer - Mobile Fleet Technician

Day shifts - #removed#, 45 hour week - Flexible working hours

Are you ready to go on the road and take your technical skills to a dedicated network of customer sites?

If so, then this could be the role for you? if you have experience working on a mobile basis, maybe Agricultural or Material Handling equipment, then we would like to speak with you.

We are looking for a self motivated and independent HGV Vehicle Engineer who can travel to our clients various workshops in a designated area providing:

Responsibilities
  • Callouts
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Emergency Breakdowns
  • Pre-arranged servicing at rural sites
  • MOT Preparation
  • Engine work and diagnostic investigations
  • Correction of running defects
  • Chassis and fabrication work
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Improvement of vehicle standards
  • Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections

You will be traveling within a designated area and have use of a fully equipped van.

Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Excellent understanding of vehicle technology
  • Capability to follow the repair process from fault analysis to completion
  • Experience working on a mobile basis (Agricultural or Material Handling equipment)
  • Knowledge of HGVs, Gritters, Refuse Collection Vehicles, Sweepers, Flat Beds, Cherry Pickers
  • A Class 2 Licence would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Electric & Hydrogen Vehicles
  • Training in newest products and repair techniques as required
