Job summary

Tech-People is seeking an experienced Fabric Technician in the London and South East area to join a growing fire protection specialist. You will primarily install and remediate fire doors, fit ironmongery, inspect installations and perform related carpentry tasks.

The role requires a positive attitude, a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London and the South East. Training and overtime are provided within a company care pathway.

Qualifications

• Experience installing or repairing fire doors.
• Good carpentry and joinery skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel across London and the South East.
• Experience with fire stopping or fire door inspections is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Installing and upgrading fire doors.
• Carrying out fire door remedial works.
• Fitting fire door ironmongery (hinges, closers, locks, seals, signage).
• Packing hinges and adjusting doors to meet compliance.
• Completing fire door inspections and identifying remedial works.
• Carrying out passive fire stopping around service penetrations.
• General carpentry (frames, skirting, architraves).
• Travel to commercial sites across London and the South East.
