Job summary

Flamefast is seeking a self-motivated Field Service Engineer to cover Scotland, based in the Glasgow area. You will service, repair and install woodwork, metalwork and extraction systems in schools, with occasional overnight stays and travel.

Full training will be given on processes and documentation, with opportunities to gain GasSafe and other qualifications. Ideal candidates will have electrical engineering knowledge, a driving licence, and the ability to work alone or in a team while

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and ability to write clear reports.
• Able to work unsupervised or as part of a team.
• Driving licence required and eligible for DBS check.
• Electrical engineering qualification is desirable (HND or above).
• Experience with maintenance/repair of woodwork and metalwork machinery.
• Experience in electrical fault finding.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and installation of woodwork, metalwork and extraction systems in educational settings.
• Field-based role covering Scotland with occasional overnight stays and travel.
• Attend to tasks safely with the ability to learn new skills and techniques.
• Communicate findings clearly and maintain task plans and updates.
