Job summary
Interaction Recruitment are seeking a Mobile Field Service Engineer to join a leading hydraulic hose replacement and fluid power solutions provider in Bedford. You will diagnose faults and repair hydraulic equipment on-site across manufacturing, logistics, construction, agriculture and transport sectors.
No prior hydraulic experience required; training will be provided for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude.
Qualifications
- Previous mechanical, electrical, maintenance or engineering background.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn with training provided.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Responsibilities
- Attend customer sites to diagnose and repair hydraulic hose and fluid power equipment failures.
- Carry out on-site hose replacement, assembly and repair work.
- Deliver a fast and effective breakdown service to minimise downtime.
- Participate in a 24-hour on-call rota, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Build relationships and provide a professional service to customers.
- Promote company products and services where appropriate.
- Maintain stock levels in the service vehicle for first-time fixes.
- Complete vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
