Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrician for mobile field work across Port Talbot and sites throughout South Wales. The role involves completing planned, reactive and emergency electrical maintenance, diagnosing faults, and managing site documentation and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has full Electrician qualification, 18th Edition, UK driving licence, and strong fault-finding skills.

Qualifications

Must have full qualification as an Electrician and current 18th Edition wiring regs.
Valid UK driving licence and able to work across multiple sites.
Strong fault-finding and reactive maintenance capabilities are essential.
Excellent communication, organisation and documentation skills.
Health and safety awareness is mandatory on all sites.
Pat testing and testing & inspection certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

Carrying out planned, reactive and emergency electrical maintenance at sites across South Wales.
Diagnosing faults and responding promptly to equipment breakdowns.
Completing job reports and submitting documentation on time.
Visiting sites and overseeing subcontractors within the framework.
Adhering to company procedures and site-specific requirements.
Working safely, including when lone working in mobile or field-based roles.
Complying with health, safety and environmental procedures.
Communicating clearly with the Contract Manager, subcontractors and site stakeholders.
