Job summary

MD Group is seeking a qualified Electrician to perform EICRs and electrical testing in social housing properties across Bridgwater. You will handle periodic inspections, routine repairs, and emergencies as part of an out-of-hours team, ensuring high-quality work and excellent customer service.

You must comply with NICEIC/HSE guidelines and use electronic certification systems. Applicants should have 18th Edition wiring regs (BS 7671), 2391, and proven experience in occupied properties.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with relevant electrical qualifications and registrations.
• Experience carrying out EICRs and electrical testing in social housing or domestic properties.
• Familiarity with BS 7671 and current testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out EICRs in social housing properties including domestic, void and communal areas.
• Perform electrical testing and identify defects or safety issues.
• Carry out remedial electrical works within competency and document results.
• Record test results accurately and provide certification using electronic systems.
• Ensure work meets BS 7671, safety standards and client specifications.
• Liaise with residents, housing officers and client representatives.
