Overview

My client are an electrical contractors’ firm, based in Eastbourne and Hove. They have been established for over 45 years and offer a range of electrical services to key client groups (local authorities, schools/academies, commercial clients, and individuals) across Sussex and Kent. They currently employ over 65 staff to support our operations and offer a friendly and supportive environment in which our staff thrive and feel valued.

The role

ELECTRICIAN

This role sits within our Contracts works team and supports delivery of a Social Homes contract, Worthing Homes. 80% of this role will be EICR testing within flats and houses, whilst the remainder will be reactive and small remedial works.

The post holder will ensure onsite works are conducted in line with the required technical and regulatory standards and adhere to all company policies and processes and will liaise with clients in a professional manner, ensuring the highest standards of customer care.

The role will be included in our call-out rota and will be subject to our call-out retainer pay as per our terms and conditions. A company vehicle is included in the role.

This role will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) check due to the nature of our client groups and sites attended.

Requirements
  • Fully qualified electrician with:
  • BS7671:2018
  • Level 1-3 Technical Certificate in Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • Hold Vocational NVQ LV3 in electrical industry
  • National Electrotechnical Training (NET) AM2 certificate
  • Inspection & Testing qualification (BS2391, BS2394, BS2395 or equivalent)
  • ECS Electrician (Gold card) - Desirable
  • Full clean UK driver’s license
Experience
  • 5 Years onsite experience conducting servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and small installations works for industrial sites
  • Testing experience with knowledge on completing test certificates to desired standards
  • Demonstrable knowledge and ability to apply Health & Safety regulations
  • Competent user of IT
