Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, seeks a Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team in the West Midlands. You will maintain plant equipment and building services in a fast-paced environment.

Your role includes fault finding, risk assessments, and support for health and safety initiatives, working with three-phase systems up to 440V, motors, drives, hydraulics and pneumatics.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship completed or time-served in manufacturing maintenance.
• Electrical qualifications to 18th Edition or equivalent.
• Mechanical qualifications to City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Experience with 3-phase motors, drives and inverters.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems expertise.
• PLC diagnostics and repair skills.
• NVQ Level 2 in Electrical and Mechanical disciplines.
• Ability to write risk assessments, method statements and permits.
• Contractor supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant equipment and building services.
• Identify and manage risks, update technical drawings, and improve machinery performance.
• Conduct fault finding and preventative maintenance on various machinery types.
• Provide technical support on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes.
• Work with three-phase systems (up to 440V), motors, gearboxes, valves, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Use mobile devices and CAFM systems to manage maintenance tasks.
• Liaise with site services to resolve building-related issues.
• Deputise for the Shift Leader during absences and support health and safety initiatives.
• Be available for overtime, including nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant equipment and building services.

Qualifications & Experience

• Recognised or time-served apprenticeship
• Strong background in manufacturing maintenance
• Electrical qualifications (City & Guilds 236 Pt 1-2-3, 18th Edition or equivalent)
• Mechanical qualifications (City & Guilds or equivalent)
• Experience with 3-phase motors, drives, inverters
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems expertise
• PLC diagnostics and repair skills
• NVQ Level 2 in Electrical and Mechanical disciplines
• Ability to write risk assessments, method statements, and permits
• Contractor supervision experience
