Qualifications

  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in electrical installations required.
  • Experience in electrical testing and installation.
  • Understanding of safety regulations essential.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on client sites.
  • Provide electrical installation and fault finding services.
  • Support junior team members and participate in team meetings.

Job description

We are looking for a full time Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our growing team of service engineers. You'll be working alongside our other service engineers across a large number of our commercial clients across Yorkshire.

This is a fully remote role and requires a full UK driving licence.

This role will support the effective, efficient, and safe delivery of our client services by attending client sites to conduct planned and reactive maintenance.

Thermatic Technical FM provide complete nationwide coverage, across the full spectrum of Hard FM services to large, commercial clients. Our team of mobile engineers are supported by the account teams at Head Office to provide both reactive breakdown and planned maintenance services to our clients.

Hours & Location of Work:

Main location - this is a fully mobile role covering Yorkshire and surrounding regions

Regular hours of work - Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm - 40 hour working week. Whilst this is our company standard working week, our clients require "out of hours" maintenance so early starts/late finishes & night works are to be expected.

On Call - this role includes a 24 hour on call rota on a maximum 1 week in 4 schedule (Friday-Thursday)

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

Essential:

  • City & Guilds 2360 / 2330 Parts 1, 2, & 3, JIB approved electrician, or NVQ Level 3 equivalent
  • City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing
  • IPAF & PASMA
  • Part P Electrical certificate
  • Working knowledge of BS7671, 18th Edition Electrical Installation Regulations & associated legislative standards
  • Working knowledge of Building Regulations
  • Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations regarding maintenance activities
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Full UK driving licence
Responsibilities include:
  • Undertaking all aspects of electrical installation, commission, fault finding, and maintenance
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with Thermatic's PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and task schedules as directed by the Help Desk and/or management team
  • Providing accurate timesheet information to designated timeframes
  • Carrying out basic facilities maintenance tasks as required
  • Supporting team members including acting as second-man where required
  • Participating in a 24 hour call out rota
  • Attending team meetings or briefings as required
  • Supporting contract teams with meeting SLAs by attending client premises within the desired timeframe
  • Supporting Thermatic with maintaining positive client relationships through on-site interactions with representative and customers of our clients
  • Assisting office-based staff with producing quotations by providing accurate and good quality information where extra works are identified
  • Producing technical and situational reports as required
  • Escalating any major site issues or incidents via the appropriate channel and within acceptable timeframes
  • Supporting the training and upskilling of junior service engineers
