Job summary

Detail 2 Limited is seeking a Mobile Generator Service Engineer to travel across Cumbria, servicing and repairing generators from 20kVA to 1250kVA. You will maintain detailed service records and communicate clearly with customers and your line manager.

A company van is provided, with OTE potential and benefits. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with diesel generators, strong electrical knowledge, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Servicing on generators 20kVA minimum and up to 1250kVA.
• Experience fault finding and repairs on this range of generators.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles.
• Knowledge of system design principles and mechanical integration.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Full driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Travel regularly to customer sites across Cumbria to service and repair generators (20kVA–1250kVA).
• Maintain and repair generators and associated equipment.
• Capture and record service reports and maintenance records accurately.
• Communicate effectively with Line Manager and customers and keep them informed.
• Work as part of a team, with flexibility for training opportunities and occasional overnight stays.
