Job summary

John Sutch Cranes Ltd in the UK is seeking an experienced Mobile Crane Operator to join our team. You will operate a range of mobile cranes on construction and infrastructure projects across the UK, ensuring safe lifting operations and compliance with LOLER.

The role requires valid CPCS (A60) or NPORS certification, solid crane operating experience, and a full UK driving licence. You will collaborate with site teams and banksmen, with competitive pay and a supportive, long-term position.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS (A60) or NPORS Crane Operator Certification.
• Experience operating mobile cranes (e.g., Liebherr, Tadano, Grove, Terex).
• Strong understanding of lifting operations and safety procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow lift plans and instructions precisely.
• Full UK driving licence (HGV Class 2 preferred but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile cranes safely and efficiently in accordance with site and company regulations.
• Carry out daily crane inspections and maintenance checks.
• Work closely with site teams, riggers, and banksmen to execute lifts accurately.
• Ensure all lifts comply with LOLER and industry safety standards.
• Adapt to different site conditions and lift requirements.
• Complete job-specific paperwork, including risk assessments and lift plans.
• Travel to various job sites as required.
