Job summary

QCS Staffing Ltd is recruiting an experienced Mobile Crane Operator for a contract role in Stockton on Tees, UK. You will operate 100–400t telescopic mobile cranes, assemble and dismantle as required, and execute lifting tasks in line with plans and permits. Daily checks and maintenance are part of the role.

Applicants must hold a CPCS Crane License, have extensive mobile crane experience with references, possess a valid UK driving licence, and have the legal right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Formal CPCS crane qualification and proven crane operating experience.
• Experience with mobile telescopic cranes (100–400t) with references.
• Clean driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Operate telescopic mobile cranes 100–400t as per client and manufacturer instructions.
• Assemble, configure and dismantle cranes per manufacturer guidance.
• Prepare and execute lifting operations using lift plans and permits.
• Carry out daily checks and preventive maintenance.
• Keep equipment clean, safe and fully operational; complete records.

Our client is a global engineering and project services organisation supporting major renewable energy, infrastructure and industrial developments. Due to continued growth across the UK market, they are seeking experienced professionals to join their project teams.

What you’ll deliver:

• Required to operate various telescopic mobile cranes ranging from 100-400t in accordance with the clients and manufacturers instructions and site management direction.
• Assemble, configure and dismantle cranes in line with manufacturer instructions
• Prepare and execute lifting operations in accordance with lifting plans, load charts and permits
• Carry out daily checks, first‑line and preventive maintenance
• Keep equipment clean, safe and fully operational at all times
• Complete maintenance checklists and work records accurately and on time

Experience required:

• CPCS Crane License
• Extensive experience operating mobile telescopic cranes (with proven references)
• Valid UK Driving Licence
• Legal right to work in the UK
