Job summary

Mrs Buckét Cleaning Services is seeking an entry-level, customer-facing Cleaning Operative to visit multiple sites across Newport, Merthyr, and Bristol. You will perform hands-on cleaning and occasionally supervise others, with shifts across mornings, days, and evenings.

Role involves driving a company vehicle, maintaining high cleaning standards, and supporting site teams. Training and development opportunities are provided as part of our supportive operations network.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning in commercial premises would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for covering holidays and troubleshooting for the Divisional Manager.
• Assist the Area Manager and Divisional Manager with any employee issues where necessary.
• Carry out general cleaning duties to Mrs Buckét's quality standards (dusting, mopping, hoovering, emptying bins, deep cleans).
• Train new starters and existing cleaning team.
• Handle ad-hoc duties as required by the business.

Purpose of the role:

Reporting directly into the Team Area Manager, this is a key role within the Operations team where your performance ensures the consistent and seamless delivery of both outstanding cleaning and customer service throughout our customers. This position is a customer facing mobile position where you are expected to attend various sites throughout each day, covering for planned and unplanned absence and quite often working across split shifts.

This role is a hands‑on cleaning position as well as occasionally, a supervisory role. As part of your role you will support Team leaders to ensure new starters in the business are set up and trained in their new.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• You will be the first point of contact for covering holidays and troubleshooting for the Divisional Manager
• You will assist the Area Manager and Divisional Manager with any employee issues where necessary
• General cleaning duties to be carried out in line with Mrs Bucket's quality standards, including but not limited to; dusting, mopping, hoovering, emptying bins, deep cleans
• You will be involved in training our new starters and existing cleaning team
• Any ad- hoc duties that arise due to the needs of the business

Shift patterns can include:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend work
• Split shifts | early mornings, day times and evenings

Full time (40 hours) or part time hours available

• Being able to communicate with customers in a way that gives them confidence in us that we care about delivering an outstanding service and that we are committed to resolving any problems they raise with us

• Able to work to set timescales and deliver what we promise
• Flexibility with your time and attitude will be essential for this role as it can be very reactive

• Driving license is essential as you will be driving every day in the company vehicle provided
