Job description
Overview

This position is for a mobile cleaner who will be responsible for going out and completing cleans where the regular cleaner has called in sick or on holiday. You will receive your own van and fuel card as well as a company phone. The position covers a wide area across Yorkshire and The Humber and deals with our Co‑Op Superdrug & Lloyds Contracts. You will be given your jobs at the beginning of the week and be expected to be able to complete independently. You will need a full UK driving licence and cleaning experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for all quality, health, safety and environment requirements of the areas that you will cover, whilst making sure the facility is maintained up to the high standards of Mitie. Your main duties will include maintaining a designated area allocated to you, ensuring all areas and equipment are cleaned, maintained and in a safe, working order and reporting any issues to your line manager.

Qualifications

Experience working with cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals is desirable, however full training on COSHH will be carried out. The ideal candidate will have experience working under pressure to meet challenging deadlines, and understand the organisational goals and objectives, whilst demonstrating forward‑thinking and a positive can‑do attitude. A strong standard of numeracy and literacy skills and an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office will also be required for the role, as well as competency using IT equipment.
