Job summary

Lancashire County Council's School Catering Service is recruiting a Mobile Catering Assistant to join a friendly school kitchen team in Lancaster/Morecambe area. This role offers family-friendly hours, term-time only and the opportunity to contribute to healthy meals for pupils.

You will assist with serving meals, help with general kitchen tasks, work well with colleagues, and ensure a clean, safe dining environment for children. DBS disclosure applies.

Qualifications

Lancashire County Council's School Catering Service provides more than 60,000 meals every day across over 500 schools, and you'll play an important part in serving a nutritious meal to the children of Lancashire.

If you are successful in your application, you will initially join Lancashire County Council. However, as part of the planned transition, your employment will transfer to one of the new unitary councils from April 2028, subject to the implementation of the reorganisation and relevant employment legislation.
