Job summary

McCarthy Stone is seeking passionate Mobile Care Assistants to join our care team across Patchway and surrounding areas. This role combines personal care with domestic tasks to support our homeowners.

You will travel between developments with mileage paid; hours include mornings, evenings and some weekends. Pay is £14.50 per hour plus up to £1.30 extra for evenings/weekends, and a £300 probation bonus. A valid UK driving licence and your own vehicle are essential.

Job Introduction

Due to our evolving care and lifestyle delivery, we are looking for passionate Mobile Care Assistants to join our growing care team.

Receive a £300 bonus when you pass probation.

Location: Across Patchway & Surrounding areas - A valid full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is essential to be considered for this role. Travel expenses covered, mileage paid at 43p per mile.

Hourly rate: £14.50 per hour, plus earn up to an additional £1.30 for working evening and weekend hours.

Hours: Full time & Part time hours available per week on a rota basis that will include mornings, evenings and alternate weekends anytime between 7am to 10pm.

About the Role

This is a dual role consisting of Personal Care and Domestic Services. You’ll work closely with the Field Care Supervisor, House Managers and Care Manager to deliver personal bespoke care and lifestyle services. This could be from assisting with personal care, household tasks to offering companionship and supporting wellbeing activities. There is the expectation to ensure communal areas are cleaned regularly too.

This is a mobile field-based role to grow our care service so there is a requirement to travel between our developments and parking will be available at each site.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Individual Homeowners: To provide personalised care, including help with daily activities, personal hygiene, and medication assistance. You will also offer domestic support, such as cleaning, shopping, and managing household tasks.
• Domestic: Maintain communal areas within our developments to a high standard, ensuring a clean, tidy, and welcoming environment for all homeowners.
• Social Support: To assist homeowners with social activities, transport arrangements, and attending appointments, enhancing their overall well-being and social connections.

What We’re Looking For

• Skills & Experience: Ideally you will have previous experience in a care environment. However, this is not essential as we can provide full training for anyone looking for a career change. You must have strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to manage your time effectively.
• Driving Licence: This is a field-based role, so a valid full UK driving licence is required, along with a willingness to travel between developments.
• Flexibility: The ability to work on a rota basis that will include early mornings, lates and alternate weekends.
